Mylène Farmer (born Mylène Jeanne Gautier / 12 September 1961 in Montreal, Canada) is a French singer, songwriter, occasional actress and author. She is the most successful and provocative female French recording artist and only artist to have each of her studio albums gaining platinum status in France.
